Jelena gets nominated as Favourite Sports Star

Well, she's done it again! In the 1999 People's Choice Awards Jelena has been nominated for Favourite Sports Star (Female).

Along with her the other nominees are Cathy Freeman, Emma George, Karrie Webb, Samantha Riley, Susie O'Neill and Vicki Wilson.

To vote for Jelena you have to get your hands on a recent New Idea magazine (in Australia of course). Entries closed October 15 so now we just have to wait, watch and hope!

Other categories you can vote in are Best Variety Show, Favourite TV Personality (both male and female categories) and many more.

Come on Aussies! Support Jelena by voting for her! I've mailed mine off already!

UPDATE:

Well I'm afraid to say that Jelena did not win the award. It was won by Susie O'Neil, one of our best Olympic swimmers. Ah well, you know what they say, better luck next year :-(
